P/T Case Aide

Work with children and families including transportation to appointments, recreation and supervised visitations. Also help with coverage in group homes. Flexibility is essential. Must be 21 to apply. All positions must pass Washington State Criminal Background Check. BA in Human Services or related field is preferred.

Group Care Counselor- FT or PT

Work takes place in either of our group homes located in Burlington or Sedro Woolley, providing care for children of all ages with emotional/behavioral difficulties. Job duties include building relationships and interacting with the clients, direct supervision, vehicle transportation when appropriate, and routine household maintenance. Full time/part-time/on-call positions available. Starting salary depending on education/experience. BA in Human Services or related field is preferred. Must pass WA State Criminal Background Check.

Respite Care Provider

Offer occasional relief to foster parents by watching children a few days each month. Applicants must be willing to become licensed as foster parents – or they are already licensed. Background checks required.

Assistant House Manager

The Assistant Manager must have at minimum one or more of the following:

A master’s degree in social services or a closely related field from an accredited school and one year of experience working with children or youth OR;

A bachelor’s degree in social services or a closely related field from an accredited school and two years of experience working with children or youth OR;

Five years of successful full-time experience in a relevant field working with children or youth; and

  1. Supervisory abilities that promote effective staff performance; and
  2. Relevant experience, training and demonstrated skills in each area that he or she will be managing or supervising.

This is a full time position, with a hybrid day/swing shift schedule. The Assistant Manager will take over supervisory responsibilities when the Program Manager is not on site.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide all aspects of daily care of youth and ensure the maintenance of a safe, orderly environment encompassing the values of family-driven, youth-guided care.
  • Provide leadership and, in conjunction with the Program Manager, direct supervision of the group care staff.
  • Assure, document and communication that a healthy environment exists for youth being served and their caretakers, according to Agency philosophy and contract and licensing requirements.
  • Assist with assuring and documenting that staff have received adequate supervision and that they are evaluated on a regular basis.
  • Communicate clearly and openly with staff and youth, as well as outside professionals and parents/gaurdians.
  • Oversee shift administration of youth medication , making sure of its proper distribution, ingestion or disposal. Monitor and report any concerns to the Program Manager.
  • Observe, monitor, evaluate, and record youth behavior and communicate with other team members.
  • Motivate and encourage youth in personal self-help and living skills in order to develop independent self-care.
  • Motivate and encourage staff.
  • Must be included in the on-call rotation.

Residential Case Manager

The Residential Case Manager participates as a member of the admission and treatment team. They are responsible for maintaining youth records as required by program standards such as licensure, DCYF, CARF, BRS, Program policies and procedures. The Case Manager position assists youth in advocating for themselves at their team meetings and assist youth in developing treatment goals.  In addition, The Case Manager is part of the monthly On-Call rotation schedule.

** As of 4/1/2023, BRS Handbook requires the following qualifications for this position.

  • Be at least 21 years old and pass a Background Check
  • Must meet one of the following Education/Experience requirements.
    • MA in Social Science or closely related field
    • BA in Social Science or closely related field and
      • 2 years  experience working with youth in Mental Health Hospital, JRA system, Residential Treatment, Child Placing Agency.
    • AA in Social Science or closely related field and
      • 3 years  experience working with youth in Mental Health Hospital, JRA system, Residential Treatment, Child Placing Agency.
    • HS Diploma and
      • 4 years  experience working with youth in Mental Health Hospital, JRA system, Residential Treatment, Child Placing Agency.
